They will never face a shortage of food and basic necessities, and will also gain spiritual growth. The lotus-eyed one can live in this world and see beauty and purity despite of all its challenges. The language is beautiful and has a deeper meaning, for example - Lotus-eyed signifies beautiful and pure vision a lotus grows in the mud yet it is beautiful and pure.
– Ammaĭevi will always protect those who chant the Lalita Sahasranama with devotion every day. The Saharasnama has Bhasha Saundarya (pleasant lyrics). – Ammaįeminine qualities like compassion and love should become stronger in men and masculine qualities like steadiness and courage should grow in women. Motherhood is the symbol of love, compassion and forbearance. In the present age, the instincts of the heart and the motherly instinct have been lost. Amma also encourages her householder devotees to chant the Sahasranama daily. Apart from this all the monastic members and other residents of Amritapuri chant the Lalita Sahasranama at least once a day as part of their personal sadhana (spiritual practice). In Amritapuri, there is dawn-to-dusk chanting of the Lalita Sahasranama.
Amma has chosen Lalita Sahasranama archana (and chanting) as a daily practice for relief from the perils in life and for spiritual progress.
